Field Day on “HDPS Cotton” under ICAR-CICR Special Project on cotton under NFSM 2024 by KVK, Malyal on 18-10-2024

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Field day on “HDPS Cotton” under special project on Cotton, ICAR-CICR titled “Targeting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity” under NFSM 2024 at Chandru thanda Village of Mahabubabad Mandal & district dated on 18.10.24. Field day was organized in the field of Sri Malothu. Balaji. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about, ICAR-CICR Special Project on cotton Objectives & Major advantages with HDPS Cotton, Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal explained, concept of HDPS Cotton, sowing time, machine sowing through pneumatic planter, importance of application of growth regulator on time and advantages of HDPS cotton, Sri B. Kranthi Kumar. SMS (Crop Production) explained about IPM Practices in chilli and other crops, importance of high density cotton in light soils in the district. Sri Malothu Balaji farmer explained about his experiences on HDPS Cotton, related to time of sowing, weed and fertilizer management, yield and net returns He gave the positive feedback on the HDPS Cotton. In this Programme 76 farmers from Kambalapalle, Nadiwada, Redyala, Chandru thanda and Jamandlapalle villagers are attended.
