Field Day in HDPS Cotton under Special Project on ICAR - CICR entitled “Targeting technologies to agro ecological zones large-scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity” at KVK, Bellampalli on 31st october, 2023

KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial District in collaboration with Central Institute of Cotton Research (CICR), Nagpur organized a Field Day in HDPS Cotton under Special Project on ICAR - CICR entitled “Targeting technologies to agro ecological zones large-scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity” at Jenda Venkatapur village of Luxxettipet mandal of Mancherial District on 31st October, 2023. In this connection, On this occasion Dr. Shivakrishna Kota, Program Coordinator, KVK, Bellampalli said that the cotton productivity can be increased by best practices in HDPS Cotton. Later, The chief guest of this program, Dr. Ramprasad, Senior Scientist (Entomology), ARS, Adilabad, explained about the importance of high density cotton cultivation, soil types, selection of hybrids, Integrated weed, nutrient and pest management etc. Further, Dr. Sampath Kumar, Senior Scientist (Plant Pathology), R/o. CICR, Tamil Nadu explained about the IDM in HDPS cotton.
