Field Day on “HDPS Cotton” under ICAR-CICR Special Project on cotton under NFSM 2023 by KVK, Malyal on 14-11-2023

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Field day on “HDPS Cotton” under special project on Cotton, ICAR-CICR titled “Targeting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity” under NFSM 2023 at Ramannagudem Village of Narsihmulapeta Mandal, Mahabubabad district dated on 14.11.23. Field day organized at Sri M Ravinder Reddy HDPS Cotton field. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) Explained about, ICAR-CICR Special Project on cotton objectives & major advantages with HDPS Cotton, importance of high density cotton in light soils in the district, Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal explained, concept of HDPS Cotton, sowing time, machine sowing through pneumatic planter, importance of application of growth regulator on time, advantages of HDPS cotton, Sri B. Kranthi Kumar. SMS (Crop Production) explained about suitable varieties for Yasangi crops and IPM practices in chilli. Sri M Ravinder Reddy farmers explained about his experiences on HDPS Cotton, related to time of sowing, weed and fertilizer management, he gave the positive feedback on the HDPS Cotton. In this Programme and 123 farmers from Narsihmulapeta Mandal and 11 no. of RAWEP Students participated.
