Field day and Awareness programme on Ragi cultivation at Agriculture Polytechnic, Tornala, Dated. 12-10-2022

Field day and Awareness programme on Ragi cultivation and value addition to Products was conducted at Agriculture polytechnic, Tornala on 12.10.2022. Ragi crop was raised by the second year diploma students as a part of PAMP. Dr. S. Sridevi, Principal explained about the importance of minor millets with special emphasis on ragi, value addition and importance of byproducts of Ragi crop. Dr. E. Srinivas, Professor, informed to farmers about the pest and disease management in Ragi crop. Mr. A. Sathish Assistant Professor, discussed on Agronomic practices, weed, nutrient and water management in ragi crop. Scientists of ARS, Tornala Dr Uma rani and Mrs. A.Saritha also took part in the programme About 20 farmers of Tornala village, Sri. P. Shanker Rao DAESI programme facilitator (Ret. A.O), along with 37 input dealers from DAESI programme, siddipet also took part in the programme. All first and second year students joined the programme.
