Organized Field Day on Redgram (WRGe-97) at KVK, Rudrur, Nizamabad dist. on 28-12-2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rudrur conducted Field day on Red gram on 28.12.2021 at Takli village, Kotagiri Mandal of Nizamabad District. As part of conducting Front Line Demonstrations (FLD) on Pulses by KVK, Rudrur, Nizamabad dist. during Kharif, 2021-22. Dr. M. Suresh, SMS (Crop production) has explained the importance of Pulses in our day to day life and role of new varieties in enhancing the yield levels in Red gram crop. He was addressed the farmers attended to Field Day and briefly explained about Red gram variety WRGe-97 regarding its performance and wilt tolerant and mid early duration suitable for drought conditions in Vaanakalam. It is clearly told that under chronic dry spell which is reeling in the district the Red gram is going to fetch high net return. And collected feedback from demo farmers regarding this variety WRGe-97. For this programme KVK Scientists Dr. B.V Raj Kumar SMS(Horticulture), Dr. M. Swetha SMS (Agril.Extn.), Dr. M. Suresh, SMS (Crop production), Sri P. Vijay kumar, Subject Matter Specialist (Plant protection) and S. Sandeep, A.E.O of Kotagiri mandal of Nizamabad District, Public Representatives Sri. Ch. Ranjeeth Rythu Samanvya Samithi Coordinator, M. Jeevanrao, D. Ramesh, D. Ranjith and 24 No. of farmers were participated.
