Field day on Seed production of Redgram variety Warangal Kandi-1 (WRGE-97)

Agricultural Research Station, Madhira organized field day on seed production of Redgram variety Warangal Kandi-1 (WRGE-97) at Buchireddypalem (village),Errupalem (M) during Vanakalam,2021. Dr.K.Rukmini Devi, Senior scientist (Br.) & Head has chaired this programme and explained about the importance and characters of variety WRGE-97. Dr.S. Srinivasa Rao explained about the fertilizer and weed management in Redgram. After that Smt. K. Naga swathi, Scientist (Ento) has explained about the pest management practices in Redgram. Krishna Reddy and Nageshwar rao, farmers from buchireddypalem were cultivated this variety and shared their experience that WRGE-97 is good variety , having good crop canopy, pod bearing branches with wilt tolerance expecting yield of 8 Q/ acre by timely taken suggestions from the scientists of ARS, Madhira & other farmers of the village were also satisfied with this variety. Scientists of ARS, Madhira, Mandal Agriculture Officer (MAO), AEO of Errupalem mandal and about 30 farmers were participated in this programme.
