Field Day on “Groundnut Digger Demonstration” conducted by RARS Palem on 20-02-2023

RARS, Palem –Drone Validation Team (Dr. V. Divya Rani, Smt.G. Madhuri & Dr. M. Shankar) organized a field day on usage of drones for pesticide application in groundnut crop in Famer Sri.Khaja Ameer Ali field at Vattem village, Bijinepalli Mandal, Nagarkurnool District on 21.02.2023. In this programme Dr. M. Sujatha, Principal Scientist (Oilseeds) addressed on importance of oilseeds crops and benefits of drones in pesticide application and Dr. V. Divya Rani explained on usage of drones for pesticides application & stressed upon poilet training on drones for rural youth. Mrs.K. Sravanthi briefed about quality seed production in groundnut. Mrs.K.Mamatha stressed on importance & improved production technologies of groundnut. Dr. M. Shankar explained on plant protection measures in groundnut and Sri. Ali shared his experience about pesticide sprayings by using drones in groundnut crop. Mrs. G. Madhuri guided farmers for field visit and drone demonstration. Sri Amruth Reddy, Sarpanch, Sri. Tirupathi Reddy, MPTC, Sri. S. Vishnu, Agriculture Extension Officer and a total of 71 farmers have participated in this programme.
