Field day on “Wilt tolerant Redgram var Telangana Kandi-1(WRGE-93)” conducted by KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem under CFLD (Pulses) on 14-12-2021

KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem has conducted a Field day on "Wilt tolerant Redgram var Telangana Kandi-1(WRGE-93)” at Patanjanapuram village, Sujathanagar Mandal. Dr. K. Rumini Devi, Principal scientist (Pulses) and Head, ARS, Madhira has explained about the importance of cultivation of pulse crops in the sustainability of cropping system and advised the farmers to adopt high yielding and disease resistant varieties of increased profitability. Dr. V. L. Narayanamma, Programme Coordinator has explained the activities of KVK and explained the pest management practices to be taken up in Redgram during the flowering and fruiting stage. Dr. R. Vishwatej, SMS(Extension) and explained farmers about the CFLD programme and also interacted with farmers and took their feedback regarding performance of “Telangana Kandi-1 (WRGE-93)” promoted under the programme. Dr. R. Srinivas Rao, SMS (Crop production) has explained about the alternative rabi crops and their ICM practices. Dr. Venugopal, Scientist has suggested farmers about the foliar spray for better grain setting and attaining grain weight Later, all the 52 participant farmers along with Sri. Ravikumar (Sarpanch), Sri Bagam Mohan Rao (RBS member) and Smt. K. Narmada, MAO has visited and observed the performance of the treatment plot i.e “Telangana Kandi-1 (WRGE-93) as against check plots in the village.
