Field visit to the adopted village, Guduru on 16-07-2022

Field visit was conducted by the Village adoption team of College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar to adopted village, Gudur, Kothur (M) on 16-07-2022. As a part of village adaption program, the village adaption committee members has visited adapted village Gudur and met the farmers. The team has explained the cost effective technology in Rice, i.e. wet seeded rice under puddled conditions which reduces the cost of labour for transplanting. Farmers A.Malla Reddy and Kumar are willing to adopt the new technology in the field. A.Mallaredy took up dhaincha as suggested by VAP team and want to take up RNR15048 in dhaincha plot. Other farmers Mahipal and Kumar incorporated dhaincha, are ready with Paddy seed and wanted to take up wet direct seeded rice. All these farmers expressed willingness to take up wet direct seeded rice. To encourage the farmers members of VAP team agreed to extend drum seeder under the chairmanship of Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, also distributed paddy seed (RNR15048) 1 bag @20kg and pre emergence herbicide Pretilachlor @ 1Lt.
