Field visit Distribution of Improved, High yielding Vegetable Seed under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) by KVK, Kampasagar on 28-08-2020

Field visit to Marigold, Brinjal, Chilli, Okra, Drumstick and Bottle gourd fields at Bheemaram village was conducted by Dr.M.A.Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator and T.Himabindu, SMS (Horticulture), KVK Kampasagar along with Sri. R.Vidya Sagar, Horticulture Officer, Nakrekal Cluster on 28.8.2020. Suggestions and Recommendations on best Horticultural Practices were given to vegetable farmers. Improved and high yielding vegetable seeds (Tomato, Chilli, Ridge gourd, Dolichos bean and Pumpkin) of ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bengaluru was distributed to the SC Men and Women farmers as beneficiaries under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) at Cheruvuannaram (V), Kattangur (M). Site selection for establishing new Commercial Nursery Units (5 members/Unit) to Rural Youth under “ARYA” Project at Bheemaram (V) Kethepalli (M) and Tallavellamla (V), Chityal (M), Nalgonda District was completed. Monitored and follow up was done in already allotted Commercial Nursery units at Kondakindigudem (V), Kethepalli (M) and supplying quality nursery of tomato, chilli and Brinjal to fellow farmers on cost basis and earning sustainable income.
