Diagnostic Field Visit cum Awareness programme on Integrated Crop Management in chilli crop at Karavanga on 12.12.2022.

KVK, Palem & Dept. Of Agriculture and Horticulture has organized a Diagnostic Field Visit cum Awareness programme on Integrated Crop Management in chilli crop at Karavanga(V), Telkapally(M) Nagarkurnool district on 12.12.2022. The total chilli acre rage in Karvanga village is 267 acres by 217 farmers with diffirent varieties like Thara, Damiani. In which 120 acres were severely affected by the wilt and moderately by Black thrips. In this programme Dr. A. Shankar, SMS (Horticulture) addressed the farmers on best Nutrient and Disease Management in chilli and encouraged the farmers to focus on green manure crops, bio fertilizers(AMC and Trichoderma) usage. Further stressed upon plastic mulch, drip irrigation and fertigation in chilli crop and instructed to follow weekly bulletin on various crops by KVK, Palem and PJTSAU YouTube Channel. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP) highlighted on IPM practices suggested to spray Cyantraniliprole @ 240 m orl Foripronil 80 WG @ 50 g or Imidacloprid + fipronil (Police) @ 50 g per acre to control thrips. Smt. Maheswari, HO, Ngkl dist. explained about the subsidies available for drip irrigation. Sri. Sandeep, AO explained about e-kyc, Sri. Laxman garu, RSS member, Ngkl dist. encouraged farmers to seek technical supporting from Scientists, KVK, Palem, officials from Dept. Agril & Hort. For this programme, Smt. Laxmi devi swami Karuvanga sarpanch, Smt. Monica, AEO and 67 farmers have participated in this programme.
