Diagnostic field visit to Oilpalm fields of Gannavaram Village at KVK, Wyra on 04.02.2025

Oilpalm fields were visited by Scientists of KVK, Wyra, Dr. K. Ravi Kumar, Programme coordinator, Dr. V. Chaitanya, SMS (Horticulture) on 04.02.2025 at Gannavaram village of Wyra Mandal along with Sri Manjookhan, MAO, Wyra, Sri Saidulu, Khanapuram cluster AEO and 8 Oilpalm cultivated farmers of Gannavaram Village. 1-2 year young juvenile orchards were effected with bud rot, boron deficiency and rhinocerous beetle infestation and suggested control measures for control bud rot like removal of infected portion and smear with carbendazim paste (20 g of carbendazim mixed in 100 ml of water) and erection of pheromone traps for monitoring of Rhinocerous beetle infestation in fields and suggested boron 10 to 20 g (100-250 g borax).
