KVK, Palem conducted a Diagnostic Field visit to Rabi Maize fields at Khanapur (V), Bijinepally (M), Nagarkurnool (D) on 05.03.2025. KVK, Palem organized a diagnostic visit in Rabi maize fields at Khanapur (V), Bijinepally (M), Nagarkurnool (D) the crop (DHM 117) is at cob formation stage. Observed Post flowering stalk rot, plants are drying up and dying in patches, spreading the entire fields which is due to the excess irrigation. Suggested to drench with COC @ 600g/acre, avoid excess irrigation and rouging the infected plants. In this visit Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant protection), K. Ramakrishna, SMS (CP), KVK, Palem and 5 Farmers & 2 Farm women were participated.
