Free Dental Health Camp at Adopted Village Gullapeta by Agricultural College, Jagtial on 25-02-2020

Dr. K. B. Suneetha Devi, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Jagtial has remarked the importance of oral hygiene and persuaded the farmers to not to indulge in the habits smoking and consuming tobacco which not only ruin the dental health but also contribute to other health issues. The farmers were also recommended to utilize the opportunity of free dental health camp. Dr. K. B. The farmers were also recommended to utilize the opportunity of free dental health camp. Mr. J. Tirupathi, Sarpanch, Gullapet expressed that adoption ofvillage was very good initiative from Agricultural College, Jagtial wherein the farmers are being benefitted not only agricultural front but also other social welfare programmes like the Health camp and present Dental Health which are important for farmers well-being. Mr. D. Surender Reddy,MPTC, Gullapetgave an open invitation to the farmers to avail the opportunity. Mr. G. Tirupathi,Vice Sarpanch, Gullapet spoke on various issues of dental treatment faced by the farmers. Dr. S. Raju (B.D.S.) has created awareness about the Dental health and ways to maintain the oral hygiene. A part of the programme was conducted from 8.00 AM to 12.00 AM at Gullapet village where about 56 farmers and 72 primary and secondary school students have availed the opportunity of the free dental health checkup. Followed to this, the dental camp was continued at New College Building, Agricultural College, Jagtial from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at where the students and staff were created awareness on critical situations in maintaining the dental health and nearly about 145 students and 38 staff members from college and RARS were diagnosed of their dental health.
