The Fresher’s day celebrations of Agricultural College, Sircilla was organized by the B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture II year students on 03.10.2019 in college premises. The staff, students and outsourced personnel working in college as well as hostels participated in the programme. The Managing Director of Srujan Childrens hospital, Sircilla Dr. Kandepi Raniprasad, was the chief guest for the programme. The programme was commenced at 6 P.M with the introduction and welcoming the chief guest, staff and students by the OISA Mr. T. Arunbabu. The remaining part of the programme was organized by the senior students. The Associate Dean of the college welcomed the gathering and shared his views on the gradual development of the college from its inception in the month of August 2018. He has presented a report on different activities of the college in addition to academics, sports, games cultural and literary events. He thanked all the staff members for the efforts put forth by them in the achievement 99% results in the I year of inception itself and congratulated all the students for their academic achievements. Later the students Kum. Raffiqa and Mr. Uma Mahesh from II year B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture shared their feelings of their study at Agricultural college Sircilla and thanked the teachers and other staff members for having received good moral support for improving their academics. On this occasion the chief guest of the function Dr. Kandepi Raniprasad garu addressed the students and the staff and encouraged them to follow the footsteps of their teachers as second parents to them who are really taking more care in not only academics and also personal issues so that the students can experience favourable environment for their studies in the college without any internal or external obstacles. She wholeheartedly appreciated the students for selecting the B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture course, as agriculture is the backbone of our country they need to concentrate more on improving the farmers income by transferring the need based technologies. She stressed that it is possible only when the students work with self-discipline, honest and respecting the ethical values of the society. She also said that the students should be more sincere in achievement of their goals so that they can easily compete the present world of competition. Afterwards the chief guest of the function was felicitated by the Associate Dean, staff and students. The OISA T. Arunbabu presented brief bio-data of chief guest. The junior students have introduced themselves one by one to the gathering and expressed their intention joining the course and their aim in life. The senior students have welcomed them with the respect by way of presenting ornamental flower plant pots signifying the agriculture profession abandoning the old practice of presenting some objects as it is being continued in other colleges. Then the programme continued with the cultural programmes performed by both senior and junior students together by which all relished a pleasant entertainment. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Kum. B. Nishita of B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture II year. She who expressed sincere thanks to Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. V. Praveen Rao garu, Dr. D. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Jella Sathyannarayana, Dean of Agriculture for permitting to organize beautiful fresher’s day as it was all witnessed. She also thanked the chief guest Dr. K. Raniprasad madam for sparing her valuable time with the students and advising with motivating words which really mould the lives of students. She also thanked the college administration i.e., the Associate Dean Dr. G. Samuel, Mr. T. Arunbabu, OISA and the staff for properly guiding us by making groups of different activities which facilitated them organize the programme very beautifully, pleasantly and meaningfully which would definitely become the role model function for other institutions of the University.
