KVK, Palem celebrated Golden Jubilee Year of Krishi Vigyan Kendras at KVK, Palem premises on 06.06.2024

KVK, Palem celebrated Golden Jubilee Year of KVK’s to commemorate 50 years since establishment of first KVK. KVK, Palem received the torch from KVK, Rangareddy and displayed the Golden Jubilee Torch at KVK premises. Dr.M.Malla Reddy, ADR, RARS, Palem acknowledged the role of KVKs in transfer of technologies that resulted in increasing the food grains and horticultural production in the country. Dr.S.Vanisree, Principle Scientist (Oilseeds), RARS, Palem emphasised the efforts of KVKs in assisting the farmers to become successful entrepreneurs with the help of training and skill development. Dr.Shashibushan, Principle Scientist (Millets), RARS, Palem briefed about the importance of millets, time of sowing and seed available at RARS, Palem. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem briefed the achievements of KVK and mandated activities conducted since establishment of KVK. Sri.Purna Chandar Reddy, ADA, Nagarkurnool has explained about the relation between KVK and Dept of agriculture and its contribution for the farming community through various programmes like field visits, training’s and new variety trails. In this celebration Dr.M.Malla Reddy, ADR, RARS, Palem, Dr.S.Vanisree, Principle Scientist (Oilseeds), RARS, Palem, Dr.Shashibushan, Principle Scientist (Millets), RARS, Palem, Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, PC, KVK, Palem, Sri.Chandrashekhar, DAO, Nagarkurnool, Sri.Vardhan Patel, Water NGO, KVK and RARS staff and 168 farmers were participated.
