On 17th February 2024, an interactive session conducted on the role of Agricultural Engineering in the present scenario at the College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy by Dr. C. R. Mehta, Director of ICAR-CIAE Bhopal, MP. In this session Dr. G. Mano Kumar, Associate Dean, Heads of Departments, teaching staff, and students from the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd years of the college were participated. Dr. C. R. Mehta initiated the session by discussing the broad scope and pivotal role of Agricultural Engineering in the contemporary agricultural landscape. He highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of the field, encompassing aspects of engineering, technology, and agriculture. Participants gained insights into how Agricultural Engineering contributes to enhancing agricultural productivity, sustainability, and resource efficiency. A significant portion of the session was dedicated to discussing job opportunities and placements available for Agricultural Engineering graduates. Dr. C. R. Mehta shed light on various career paths, including roles in agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, food processing, and renewable energy. He also provided valuable insights into the current job market trends and the skill sets required to succeed in the field. Recognizing the importance of higher education for career advancement, Dr. C. R. Mehta offered guidance on pursuing further studies in Agricultural Engineering. He discussed postgraduate programs, research opportunities, and the benefits of specialization in niche areas within the field. Participants received clarity on the pathways to pursue advanced degrees and their relevance in shaping future career trajectories. Dr. C. R. Mehta patiently addressed queries related to specific career paths, skill development, and industry expectations. The exchange facilitated meaningful dialogue and enhanced understanding among the attendees.
