Agricultural College, Warangal has organized a guest lecture on “Recent Trends in Science and Technology” by Prof. A. Ramachandraiah, Professor (HAG), Department of Chemistry, NIT, Warangal on 25-09-2021under the activities of Science and Motivation Club by following Covid-19 protocols. The program is presided by Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean and Dr. R. Uma Reddy has graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. DR. M. Balram briefed about Science and Motivation Club activities at Collegeand introduced the speaker to thehouse. Dr. R. Uma Reddy talked about need of organizing science-based lectures to ignite student minds. Prof. A. Ramachandraiahenlightened the students the importance of science and need for inculcating enquiring spirit from student level in the era of social media wherein unverified information in domain. He enlightened students about three major contributors of Science i.e., Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Info-Technology towards advancement of Science in fututre. He stressed need of utilization of science to solve problems of the society. Prof. A. Ramachandraiah had given few tasks and questions for the students to ignite critical thinking. Later Prof. A. Ramachandraiah answered the queries from audience. The program is ended with proposal of vote of thanks by Dr. A. Srijan, Asst. Professor. The program is attended by all faculty members and students of Agricultural College, Warangal.
