Haritha Haram and distribution of National Flags at College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar on 12-08-2022

As a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” Iconic week, 4nd day (12.08.2022) in commemorating of 75 years of independence, the NSS unit, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar has organized Haritha haram Programme on 12.08.2022 at the University campus. The programme was graced by esteemed Registrar Dr. S. Sudheer Kumar. Dr.Seema, Dean of Agriculture, Dr. J. Satyanarayana, Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. V. Anitha Dean of PG Studies, Dr. Sudha Rani, Director of Extension, Dr.Ratna Kumari Dean of Home Science, Dr. C. Narendra Reddy Associate Dean, Head of the Departments, Senior faculty, teaching and non-teaching staff, students attended the program. The dignitaries created awareness on the importance of planting trees and medicinal plants which increases the green cover, rejuvenates degraded forests and ensures more effective protection of forests and intensive soil and moisture conservation. A total of 75 saplings were planted.The students, NSS Programme officers actively participated in the programme. Plantation programme was also taken up at adopted village – Gudur. In this programme the village sarpanch, children, youth of the village and NSS POs have actively participated. Marking the fortnight long 'Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu', the house-to-house distribution of National Flags was taken up by NCC cadets of the College at Bhavani colony, Premavathipet.
