The Iconic Week Celebration as part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" under India@75 celebration at Collage of Agriculture on 18-08-2022

Conducting games and sports events for staff and students. Fancy dress competition representing Indian diversity and culture as a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” College of Agriculture, NSS unit, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad is scheduled different day wise activities on the Iconic Week Celebration as part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" under India@75 celebration from 09.08.2022 to 22.08.2022. During this period, the NSS Unit, College of Agriculture, through its various scheduled Programmes, has planned a series of celebratory events and activities to understand the roots of our democracy and spread democratic ethos among our student community to familiarise them with the patriotism. As a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” Iconic week, 10th day (18.08.2022), the NSS unit College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar scheduled a programme on “Conducting games and sports events for staff and students. Fancy dress competition representing Indian diversity and culture” theme. Prepare a circular and widely circulated among student community through NSS groups, OSA groups and College groups. NSS PO’s and OSA motivated the students to participate in games and sports competition. Culture in wearing different attire refers to the patterns of thought and behaviour of people. To enhance creativity, imagination and build confidence, a Fancy Dress Competition was conducted. The students looked vibrant in their colourful and different costumes. Sports were organized in sports complex. Playing games is an integral part of our culture and team games reflects unity among different players. Sports and games are also played vital part in moulding and refining the character of an individual. Sports make the Azadi ka Amrit mahotsav celebrations more effective in enjoying the healthy freedom. The students are encouraged to take part in all the major indoor and outdoor games. OSA along with PD encouraged students to participate in games. Most of the students and teachers are passionate towards cricket. Hence all were participated in Cricket. The competition was witnessed by Dr. J. Satyanarayana, Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, Senior faculty, teaching and non-teaching staff, students attended the program. The winners and runners of the Fancy dress and sports competition will be decided.
