College of Agriculture, NSS unit, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad is scheduled different day wise activities on the Iconic Week Celebration as part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" under India@75 celebration from 09.08.2022 to 22.08.2022. During this period, the NSS Unit, College of Agriculture, through its various scheduled Programmes, has planned a series of celebratory events and activities to understand the roots of our democracy and spread democratic ethos among our student community to familiarise them with the patriotism. As a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” Iconic week, 11th day (19.08.2022), the NSS unit College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar scheduled a programme on “Organizing Folk and cultural programmes on National Integration and Freedom movement” theme. Prepare a circular and widely circulated among student community through NSS groups, OSA groups and College groups. NSS P.O’s motivated the students to participate in Folk and cultural programmes. The programmes comprised of Solo & group songs and Solo & group dance. The competitions were organized in College auditorium. A committee has been constituted to evaluate the competitions. Along with NSS P.O’s Cultural club members were also involved in organizing the competitions. National Integration is the bond and togetherness between people regardless of their caste, creed, religion or gender. It is the feeling of oneness, brotherhood and social unity under communities and society in a country which fulfil the very objective of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. National Integration helps to keep the country unified and strong from within despite the diversities. The programme was organized to elevate and aware the importance of national integration among the students. Students were excitedly involved in songs and dance competitions with costumes reflecting the colours of our national flag. Out of 10 performances 4 were singing and 6 were dance performances out of which 2 group singing, 2 solo singing, 3 solo dance and 3 group dance performances. The energy-packed patriotic performances spread the feeling of patriotism among audience. The competitions were witnessed by Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, Senior faculty, teaching and non-teaching staff, students attended the program. The winners and runners of the competitions will be decided.
