The Iconic Week Celebration as part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" under India@75 celebration at College of Agriculture, Rajedranagar

College of Agriculture, NSS unit, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad is scheduled different day wise activities on the Iconic Week Celebration as part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" under India@75 celebration from 09.08.2022 to 22.08.2022. During this period, the NSS Unit, College of Agriculture, through its various scheduled Programmes, has planned a series of celebratory events and activities to understand the roots of our democracy and spread democratic ethos among our student community to familiarise them with the patriotism. As a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” Iconic week, 8th day (16.08.2022), the NSS unit and OSA, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar scheduled a programme on “Combined National Anthem singing and Formation of human chain “Unity amidst Diversity” vide Circular Memo.No. 9887/OOP/A2/2022-3 dated 10.08.2022. Our National anthem is surely an expression of national unity in the following ways: It is our national anthem where people from varied backgrounds, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or sex stand up and sing in unison, paying respect and gratitude to the country. It captures the very essence of our country. Mass National Anthem singing programme at 11.30AM was arranged in collaboration with the Department of Police, Telangana, Professor Jayashankar Telanagana State Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana State Veterinary University, Hyderabad, Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University, Hyderabad. Students from all universities and school children from different schools around Rajendranagar were excitedly attended the programme. Around 10,000 participants’ were involved in the singing. The programme was witnessed by Sri. Ranjith Reddy M.P, Chevella, Sri Prakash Goud M.L.A, Rajendranagar. Both addressed the gathering and enlightened the participants about our freedom fighters and our National integrity. The programme was also graced by esteemed Registrar Dr. S. Sudheer Kumar. Dr.Seema, Dean of Agriculture, Dr. J. Satyanarayana, Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. V. Anitha Dean of PG Studies, Dr. Sudha Rani, Director of Extension, Dr.Ratna Kumari Dean of Home Science, Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, Head of the Departments, Senior faculty, Faculty from different schemes, Faculty from research centres, teaching and non-teaching staff were attended the programme. Exactly at 11.30 the national Anthem was sung by the crowd of 10, 000 participants which made the event mind blowing. Later a programme on Formation of human chain “Unity amidst Diversity” were also arranged at College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar portico. This programme was also graced by esteemed Registrar Dr. S. Sudheer Kumar. Dr. C. Narendra Reddy Associate Dean, Head of the Departments, Senior faculty, NSS P.O’s, OSA, teaching and non-teaching staff and students were attended the programme. All the dignitaries along with students form a human chain to epitomising the unity amidst diversity. Students were raised slogans Viz., Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, Vandemataram and Bolo Bharat Mata ki jai to showcase their patriotism towards our Country. A circle was formed with all the dignitaries and students which reveals the unity of our country.
