The International women’s day was celebrated at Agricultural College, Sircilla on 8th March, 2021 to recognize the contributions of women in different dimensions of human development in the present world. Officer in-charge Students Activities (OISA) Mr. T. Arunbabu briefed about the theme for this year's International Women's Day as ChooseToChallenge, indicating a “challenged world is an alert world, and challenge comes from a change”. The Associate Dean while speaking on the occasion congratulated all the women staff and girl students as they are considered as building blocks for the developing India not only in the field of Agriculture but all the spheres of development and she also said significance of the programme. On this occasion different competitions i.e., Ball in the Basket, Spoon and lemon and Musical chair were conducted for the women staff as well as students by the NSS Programme Officer and OISA. The first and second winners were selected and prizes were distributed. The women staff and students expressed their happiness as they are being recognized equally with gents in the society and making them important partners for the future India. They have further opined and decided to render their services more fruitfully in future and make the new college one among the best in Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University. All the staff members and students including out-sourced personnel have participated and enjoyed the programme. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. K. Bhavya Sree, Asst. Prof.(Hort).
