On the eve of ‘International Women’s Day’, a training programme on “Woman empowerment” was organized on 08.03.2022 at ARS, Adilabad in which Scientists of ARS, Adilabad; Non teaching staff of ARS & KVK and 65 woman labourers participated. In this programme, Smt. Sujatha, Assistant Project Manager (APM), SERP, Gudihatnoor Mandal chaired the session and briefed about the importance of International Women’s Day, role of women in everyday life, society, education, industry and how to succeed as an ideal in the society for better empowerment. Further, she added that, only through education woman empowerment could be achieved. Smt. Revathi, Agricultural Officer, Gudihatnoor Mandal emphasized that women are now working in all the departments and must go ahead with much more confidence and should contribute towards development of family, state & country. In this programme, Dr. K. Rajashekar, Scientist (Ento.); Dr. D. Mohan Das, Scientist (Agro.); Sri G. Anil Kumar, Scientist (Pl. Br.); Teaching, Non Teaching Staff, Outsourcing staff, Casual and Contract labourers have participated.
