Celebration of International Women’s Day on 08-03-2022 by Agriculture Polytechnic, Agricultural Research Station and DAATTC, Tornala

With a motto to promote gender equality for sustainable future by breaking biasness the students, faculties, research and extension scientists together celebrated International Women’s Day at Agricultural Polytechnic, Tornala on 08-03-2022. In the context of climate change, the importance of gender equality in most valuable sectors like Agriculture was reiterated by Dr. S. Sridevi, Principal Scientist & Head, ARS, Tornala, Dr. E. Srinivas, Professor (Extension) discussed on the importance of education for women. Sri. J. Vijay, Coordinator, DAATTC expressed the need of courage in facing different situations of life. Dr. Ch. Pallavi requested all the girls to be strong and face any kind of situation with strength and boldness. Dr. N. Sainath and Sri. A. Sathish reiterated the value and importance of gender equality at farm and home. The programme came to end with felicitations to women faculty, one progressive women farmer and other women employees of ARS, APT and DAATTC, Tornala.
