Celebration of International Women’s Day” at RARS, Warangal on 08-03-2022

All the Women (Teaching, Non- Teaching and Contract Labours) staff of Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal (RARS) celebrated International Women’s Day on 08-03-2022 at Conference room, RARS, Warangal. Associate Director of research chaired the programme and apprised the gathering about women empowerment and importance of women’s role in Agriculture. Further, discussed about the theme, International Women's Day, 2022, “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow and emphasized that there is no force more powerful than a woman's determination to rise. Mr. S. Md. Farooq Hussain, Deputy General Manager, Zuari Agro Chemicals Pvt Ltd attended as guest and expressed about the women’s force leading in many private sector reflecting gender equality in all the working sectors. Dr. G. Padmaja, Scientist, RARS, Warangal accentuated about men’s support is essential to every woman to be succeed. Later in the programme, all the women staff were gifted with Sarees and Bangles, further, today’s guest selected five contract labors among the house and felicitated with pressure cookers. Finally, the programme was concluded with sharing of views by non teaching staff and contract labours.
