International Women’s day celebrations at Agricultural college, Warangal on 7-3-2025

Agricultural College, Warangal, Women Protection Cell organized International Women’s day on 7-3-2025. Smt. CH. Neeraja, Legal support officer, Barosa centre, Warangal & Hanamkonda (Dist.) has attended as Chief Guest to this programme. She explained about the Protection of children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act, 2012 and also explained about she teams. She also discussed about risk of sharing photos of girls in social media. Smt. P. Latha Reddy explained about her enterprise i.e., printing of natural dyes on old sarees and also she said that she is providing employment to 30 rural women with support of Ag Hub of PJTAU. She also encouraged students to start any enterprise for their self employment. Dr. CH. Anusha, Asst Professor (Entomology), women protection cell chairman briefed about International Women’s day. Dr. A. Venkat Reddy, Associate Dean, Agricultural college, Waranagal highlighted the achievements of Women and also he suggested students to not to involve in any online bettings. On the occasion of International women’s day, essay writing and elocution competitions were conducted to girls students and certificates were distributed to the winners by Associate Dean & guests.. Teaching and non teaching staff, teaching associates, lab assistants and girls students were participated in this programme.
