International Womens Day Celebrated at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem on 08-03-2021

KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem has celebrated International Women’s day under the theme “Entrepreneurship, Equity and Empowerment” on 08.03.2021 at the KVK premises. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma, Programme coordinator has inaugurated the programme and explained the importance of the women in agriculture and society. Dr. R.Vishwatej, has explained about the need, tradition and theme of International Women’s Day for year 2021 all over the world. Ms. S. Vindhya, SMS (Agromet) has spoken about the stigma towards girl children in rural society and also women role models who broke the sealing in every field of the society. Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao, SMS (CP) has also spoke about the role of women in providing nutritional and financial security of every Indian family. Few of the women participants have shared their experiences of powerful women in their life. Later, Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma, Programme coordinator along with all the women has celebrated the occasion by cutting the cake and also distributed Nutri seed kits for all the women farmer participants. A total of 38 women farmers have participated in the celebrations.
