joint Diagnostic field visit in Chilli on 04-12-2021

Thrips in Chilli
Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nizamabad (Rudrur) along with Officials of Department of Agriculture and Horticulture have conducted Joint Diagnostic field visit in chilli at Mavandi village of Bodhan mandal and identified the infestation of thrips which are identified on flowers and cupping in leaves. Farmers of the district were alerted and advised to go for integrated pest management practices and chemical control measures. Installation blue Sticky traps to attract thrips. Spraying of neem oil 10000 ppm @ 1 ml / litre of water. Spraying of fipronil 80 WG @ 0.2 g/l or acetamaprid @ 0.2 g/l or imidacloprid + fipronil @ 0.2 g/l water, with rotation of the chemicals.
