Kisan mela at Allipuram on 31-12-2019 organized by KVK, Wyra

Kisan Mela was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Wyra as a part of Jal Shakti Abhiyan on 31.12.2019 at Allipuram (V), Khammam Urban (M), Khammam (D). Chief guest, Sri P. Ajay Kumar Garu, Hon’ble Minister for Transport, Telangana; Special guest Sri R.V. Karnan, District Collector and Magistrate; Distinguished Guests Sri Lingala Kamal Raj Garu, ZP Chairman, Sri Kondabala Koteswara Rao Garu, Chairman, TSSDC, Sri Nallamala Venkateswara Rao Garu, RSS District Coordinator, Sri G. Papalal, District Mayor, Sri. M. Venkata Ramana, Marketing Chairman; District officials Smt. P. Vijaya Nirmala, DAO i/c, and Project Director, ATMA, Khammam, ADA (Khammam), Sri. A. Srinivas, MAO’s, AEO’s and Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, CTZ, RARS, Warangal, Dr. S.J. Rahman, Principal Scientist (Entomology), Biological Control Lab, Hyderabad, Dr. P. Malathi, Senior Scientist (Entomology) , RARS, Warangal, Dr. B. Ram Prasad, Senior Scientist (Entomology) , RARS, Warangal, Dr. R. Srinivas Rao. Co-ordinator, DAATTC, Khammam, Dr. S. Srinivas, scientist, ARS, Madhira and 827 number of farmers were participated in the programme. As a part of Kisan Mela, stalls were arranged by KVK, Wyra and Department of Agriculture, on the various water saving technologies and other popular technologies. After the welcome address, the programme started by lighting the lamp by the guests and officials. A brief explanation on water management techniques and the moisture sensitive stages for realization of good yields in the different crops given by Dr. P. Sri Ranjitha, SMS (Crop Production), KVK, Wyra. All the guests and district officials have given their remarks on Kisan Mela and motivated the farmers towards water conservation. All the scientists participated in the farmer scientist interaction and given the information on the questions asked by the farmers. At last, the programme ended with the vote of thanks given by Dr. K. Ravi Kumar,SMS (Plant protection), KVK, Wyra.
