KVK, Bellampalli organized an Audio Conference on Integrated Crop Management in Paddy and Cotton in collaboration with Reliance Foundation on 24th & 25th August, 2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District has organized Audio Conference on Integrated Crop Management in Paddy and Cotton in collaboration with Reliance foundation on 24th and 25th August, 2021. In these programmes, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Head (Programme Coordinator) has addressed the farmers about the nutrient management and management of different pest- disease infestation in the major crops like paddy, cotton and redgram. Further, he educated the farmers regarding different strategies to be followed in the reduction of excess use of fertilizers. Dr.Shivakrishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension) explained the objectives of Jal Shakti Abhiyan and different water saving methods. He stressed upon the importance of farmer’s producer organisations in modern agriculture and added information on different activities done by the KVK, Bellampalli to educate the farmers towards formation of the FPO’s. Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production) explained about different management practices to be followed in present conditions in field crops of both Kumrumbheem Asifabad and Mancherial district. Smt. U. Sravanthi, SMS (Horticulture) explained about different management practices to be followed in vegetable. Dr. B. Sathish Kumar SMS (Agrometeorology) addressed the farmers about present rainfall status and rainfall forecast in the aspirational district of Kumrumbheem Asifabad and Mancherial. A total of 73 numbers of farmers were participated from Asifabad mandal (Gollaguda); Dahegaon mandal (Odduguda, Dahegaon, Konchavelli villages) of K.B Asifabad District. Mancherial district- Belampalle mandal (Cherapalle, Gujral, Perkapalli, Chinabudhe, Janakapur, Akinepalle villages); Vemanapalle (Vemanapalli), Kasipet (Kasipet).
