KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial - Awareness cum demonstration on usage of drone technology in agriculture and allied sectors on 24-06-2023

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli organized an ‘‘Awareness programme cum demonstration on usage of drone technology in agriculture and allied sectors’’ in collaboration with Garuda Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. on 24th June, 2023 at Instructional Farm of KVK, Bellampalli. In this programme Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli programme coordinator Dr. Rajeshwar Naik addressed the gathering and explained about necessity of drone technology to combat the labour shortage to spray the chemical pesticides, which ultimately resulted in increased crop yields. Further, representatives of Garuda aerospace explained about specifications and mode of function about their drone and demonstrated the field level application of water (instead of chemical pesticide) through drone in KVK premises. Farmers are interacted with the scientists and Garuda aerospace representatives and clarified their doubts regarding different aspects of drone technology. In this programme KVK scientists Dr. Shivakrishna Kota, SMS (Extension), Sri. A. Nagaraju, SMS (Plant Protection), Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production), and Dr. B. Sathish Kumar, SMS (AgroMet), Garuda aerospace representatives, print and electronic media representatives and 50 number of farmers were participated.
