KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial - Joint Diagnostic Field Visit on HDPS Cotton in Mancherial District on 14th october, 2022
KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial District conducted a Joint Diagnostic Field Visit on HDPS Cotton along with Department of Agriculture, Mancherial District at Nagaram village of Hazipur mandal on 14th October, 2022 and Kundaram village of Jaipur mandal on 15th October, 2022. As a part of this visit, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Bellampalli along with team of Scientists, D.A.O., C.P.O., A.D.A., M.A.O., A.S.O., A.E.Os and farmers visited HDPS cotton cultivating villages in Hazipur and Jaipur mandals of Mancherial District and diagnosed major problems as listed below:
Location – 1: Nagaram, Hazipur, Mancherial District:
- Tobacco Caterpillar @ above ETL and suggested the farmers to spray with Novaluran 10 EC @ 1ml per litre or Emamectin Benzoate 5 SG @ 0.5gm per litre.
- Jassids @ 2 - 3 Nymphs or Adults per leaf and Thrips @ 8 - 11 Nymphs or Adults per leaf and suggested the farmers to spray with Flonicamid 50 WDG @ 0.3gm per litre water.
- Flower Drop and Suggested the farmers to spray with Planofix @ 1ml per 5 litres of water.
- Suggested to spray with Mepiquat chloride (Chamathkar) as a plant growth regulator.
- No. of Bolls/Plant: 18 - 22
Location – 2: Kundaram, Jaipur, Mancherial District:
- For Jassids @ 1 - 4 Nymphs or Adults per leaf and Thrips @ 7 - 9 Nymphs or Adults per leaf, suggested the farmers to spray with Flonicamid 50 WDG @ 0.3gm per litre water.
- For Flower Drop, Suggested the farmers to spray with Planofix @ 1ml per 5 litres of water.
- For Boll rot, suggested to spray with Kresoxim Methyl @ 1ml per litre or Propineb @ 2gm per litre or Metiram + Pyroclostrobin @ 2gm per litre of water.
- Suggested to spray with Mepiquat chloride (Chamathkar) as a plant growth regulator.
- No. of Bolls/Plant: 15 - 21
