KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial Organized Awareness Programme on Food and Nutrition for Farmers on 26-08-2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial has organized Awareness programme on Food and Nutrition for Farmers and Training Programme on Establishment of Nutri-Garden for Income Generation. In these programmes, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Head (Programme Coordinator) has addressed the farmers about national campaign event on Food and Nutrition for Farmers addressed by Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture in virtual mode and explained importance of foods in relation to human diet vitamins, essential minerals, carbohydrates, proteins for good health, importance of small scale Nutri-Garden in home back yards, Nutritious vegetables, laying out and planning of nutrition garden. Dr. Shivakrishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension) educated the farmers on importance of farmer’s producer organisations in modern agriculture phenomenon. Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production) explained about different nutrient management practices in major crops under prevailing weather conditions. Smt. U. Sravanthi, SMS (Horticulture) educated the farmers about establishment of home based Nutri-Gardens, benefits and income generation through Nutri-Gardens. Dr. B. Sathish Kumar SMS (Agrometeorology) addressed the farmers about present rainfall status, crop conditions and rainfall forecast in the Mancherial Dist. For this programme Sri, Jambi Suresh, Sarpanch, 105 (83-Male and 22- Female) number of farmers were participated.
