Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District has organized the event on “Special Swachhta Day from 02nd – 31st October 2021” on 6th October, 2021 at ITDA Youth Training Center, Bellampalli mandal of Mancherial district. In this programme, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Head (Programme Coordinator) presided the meeting and delivered the lecture on importance of general cleanness at home and farm and adoption of quality farm products for higher returns and profitability; importance of cleanliness and hygiene and hand washing, use of masks, and social distancing; encourage and motivated the farmers to continue good practices for hygiene and sanitation in school as well as at home; E-wasting ( Electronic goods and products including mobiles and laptops etc.,) systems can be encouraged and followed. Dr. Shivakrishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension) has addressed the farmers about crop residue management and creating wealth from the farm and home waste. Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production), explained about the Protection and conservation of soil, water, air and other natural resources for a clean and green environment. Smt. U. Sravanthi SMS (Horticulture) explained about following of COVID SOPs behavior, prevention of spread of diseases from animals to human-being and vice-versa. After that we conducted a hygiene programme in the classrooms. A total of 25 (9 female and 16 male) numbers of farmers were participated from Mancherial district.
