KVK, Kampasagar conducted Farmers Scientists interaction meeting cum field visit on Direct seeded Technologies in Rice on the occasion of visit of Dr.S.K.Chowdary, Deputy Director General (NRM),ICAR,New Delhi at Rangareddy guda village of Nalgonda Dist. on 14.08.2022

As per instructions of University, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar, Nalgonda conducted Farmers Scientists interaction meeting and field visit on Direct Seeded technology in Rice at Rangareddy Guda village of Nalgonda District on occasion of visit of Dr.S.K.Chowdary, Deputy Director General (NRM). In this programme Dr. M. Shankaraih, Programme Coordinator has welcomed and explained the mandate activities and submitted brief report on significant achievements and on flagship Programmes viz., DSR and HDPS of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar. In this programme Dr.S.K.Chowdary, Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management), ICAR, New Delhi has addressed the gathering and appreciated effort of KVK, Scientists as well as farmers for adoption of modern resource conservation technologies like Drum seeder and seed cum ferti drill in Rice. Later visited 3 types of rice systems and interacted with farmers regarding weed management, water requirement, cost of cultivation and yields of different rice systems. Later, Dr. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production) explained about measures taken for weed management and problem faced by farmers in Directed seeded technology in Rice. In this programme Dr. I. Srinivas, Principal Scientist (Agri Eng), CRIDA, Hyderabad also interacted with farmers about mechanization in Paddy, Dr. Lingaiah, Senior scientist & Head, Agricultural Research Station, Kampasagar and 30 No. of progressive Farmers were participated.
