KVK, Kampasagar has organised field day on “HDPS Cotton System” at Palem (Vill), Nakrekal (Mdl), Nalgonda Dist on 07.11.2023. In this programme first all the scientists, AEO (Nakrekal), Rasi and Nuziveedu seeds employees and farmers visited the cotton field at Palem village Nakrekal mandal. Later Dr.K.Chandrashekar interacted with farmers, encouraged the farmers towards cotton cultivation in the HDPS method. Explained how HDPS system helps for getting more monetary returns. Insisted farmers to apply growth regulators (mepiquat chloride) in HDPS cotton cultivation and explained about spacing in HDPS cotton and explained about nutrient management and micronutrients management in cotton to obtain higher yields and explained about Kvk activities. Mr.Lingaih Agricultural extension officer explained about the HDPS cotton system. Mr. Saidulu (District head) Nuziveedu seeds employee explained about the varieties suitable in HDPS cotton system. Rasi seeds employ Bhupal (PO) explained about varieties suitable for HDPS cotton system. Nuziveedu varieties Armita, Winner. interacted with farmers. Farmers cultivating Rasi company varieties of RCH 929. Crop stage: 130 DAS . Advisories on pest management were given, especially for the control of pink boll warm.
