Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar, Nalgonda celebrated “National Farmers Day (Kisan Diwas)” on 23rd December, 2022. Following topics were covered in the meeting,

• Smt. S.Pallavi, SMS (Extension) welcomed the guests on to the Dias and explained the importance Kisan Diwas.
• Dr. S. Srinivasa Rao, Programme Coordinator & Head, KVK, Kampasagar addressed the gathering and briefed about the triumphs that were achieved by Shri. Choudhary Charan Singh. Especially, introduction of agricultural produce market bill, eradication of land dictatorship, establishment of Kisan trust and fighting against problems of marginal and small farmers in the country for making their life better.
• Dr. N. Lingaiah, Senior Scientist & Head, ARS, Kampasagar explained the importance of Kisan Diwas and advised farmers to go for integrated farming system.
• Dr. V. Sridhar, Scientist, Genetics and Plant Breeding, ARS, Kampasagar interacted with the farmers explained different schemes available.
• On this occasion, selected progressive farmers were felicitated for their new technologies and ideas in agriculture.
