KVK, Kampasagar created Awareness cum Training meeting on Crop Diversification Plan for Yasangi -2021, Suryapet District
As per the instructions of Shri. Guntakandla Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of State for Electricity, Telanagana and Shri. Vinay Krishna Reddy, I.A.S, Hon’ble District Collector & Magistrate, Suryapet district, an awreness programme was conducted with all the District Agriculture, Horticulture officials (DAO, ADA, MAO, DHSO, HO and AEO) and Scientist of KVK, Kampasagar involved to discuss on Crop Diversification plan for Yasangi – 2021 at Collector Office, Suryapet. In this meeting, Shri. Guntakandla Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of State for Electricity, Telanagana suggested farmers to focus on alternate crops for Paddy as there will be no procurement from Food Corporation of India (FCI) and instructed District Agriculture and Horticulture officials to come up with Cluster wise Plans to implement which will be economical to farmers with good market facilities and price. Dr. T. Bharath SMS (Crop Production), KVK, Kampasagar gave presentation on different field crops to replace paddy and their package of practices in Suryapet district i.e., Groundnut, Castor, Chick pea, Black gram, Green gram, Sunflower, Safflower, Sesamum, Rapeseed, Mustard Vegetables and Fodder crops and also stressed on seed availability. In this programme all District officials (DAO, ADA, MAO, DHSO, HO and AEO) a total of 150 members were participated.
