Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagduem has conducted farmers scientists interface on Climate Resilient varieties, technologies and practices at Rythuvedika, Kothagudem on 28.09.2021. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanama has explained about need to shift to climate resilient crops, varieties and agricultural practices for farmer. She also explained about reduce the dependence on water intensive crops like paddy, sugarcane and encouraged farmers to take up cultivation of millets, pulses and vegetables. Dr. R. Vishwatej, SMS(Extension) has explained the importance of about changing climate change and its effect on Agriculture. He also explained about need to build insitu water harvesting structures like Farm ponds, trenches and efficient irrigation methods like drip irrigation, mulching etc., Later the farmers have viewed the live telecast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address to farmers on the occasion of inauguration of “National Institute of Bio stress Management” at Raipur and release of 35 climate resilient crop varieties. A total of 79 farmers and farm women along with Agricultural officers have attended the event.
