Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadadri Kothagudem conducted a Diagnostic visit in Maize, Cotton, Paddy, and Chilli on 24-09-2021
KVK Bhadradri Kothagudem has conducted a Diagnostic field visit along with Agricultural department officials on 24.09.2021 in Garibpeta and Laxmidevipally villages of Sujathanagar Mandal and Anarpadu and Bethalapadu villages of Julurupadu mandal. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma (Programme Coordinator), Mr. B. Shiva, SMS(Horticulture), Sri G.Lalchand, ADA and Smt Narmada, AO has visited the fields and diagnosed fall army worm incidence in maize, para wilt and black arm in cotton, sulphide injury, blast and weed infestation in paddy, viral complex in chilli.
The Diagnostic team has given below recommendation
Maize
Fall army worm:
- Spraying of Emamectin benzoate 5 SG @ 0.4 g/l
- Spraying of Spinosad 45 SC @ 0.3 ml/l
- Spraying of Chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 0.4 ml/l
- Application of Thiodicarb 75% WP based poison bait if bigger larvae are found feeding inside the whorl
Cotton
Para wilt:
Recommended spraying of potassium nitrate @5gm per lit of water weekly twine for management of para wilt,
Black Arm:
spraying of copper oxy chloride @30gm+streptomycin@1gm in 10 litre of water
Paddy
Blast:
spraying of tricyclazole @120gm per one acre
Sulphide Injury:
Spraying of tricyclazole @120gm per acre
Weeds:
Pyrazosulfuron ethyl 10 % WP @ 150 g ha-1 on 3 DAT + hand weeding (HW) on 45 DAT. PE butachlor 0.75 kg a.i. ha-1 + bensulfuron methyl 50 g ha-1 on 3 DAT + HW on 45 DAT
Chilli
Root rot
Spraying of copper oxy chloride @30gm+streptomycin@1gm in 10 litre of water
Viral Complex:
- Installation of sticky traps @ 30 per acre
- Spraying of neem oil 1500ppm @5ml per litre of water
- Spray any one of the following insecticide
