Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem has conducted three days skill training programme on Scientific Bee Keeping on 10-12th December, 2024 under SC sub plan 2024-25 at Youth Training centre, ITDA, Bhadrachalam. In this programme Sri David Raju, APO, Sri Uday Kumar, Horticulture project Officer, Sri Harikrishna, JDM, graced the inaugural session. Programme coordinator Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma had inaugurated the programme and addressed the Farmers, farmwomen and Unemployed Youth. Dr. S. Naveen Kumar, SMS (Extension) has welcomed the participants and conducted a short ice breaking session. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma has explained about the importance of Honey bee in Agriculture, Nature and wellbeing of Humans. Also explained the opportunities in Honey bee farming as an profitable enterprise for rural and interested youth. Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) conducted second day session and explained about Scope in Honey Industry in India and world', 'Types of Honey bees’ and “Management practices of Model Apiculture Unit”. On day-3 Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) has taken sessions on “Motivation, Leadership and Communication skills” and Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma has conducted sessions on “By products and their processing and marketing strategies”. Also conducted exposure visit for the trainees to get practical experience. Later post evaluation and valedictory sessions were conducted with trainees.
