KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem has conducted a three days training programme on Scientific Bee Keeping

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem has conducted three days training programme on Scientific Bee Keeping. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma, Programme coordinator had inaugurated the programme and attended by district Farmers and farmwomen. Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) has welcomed the participants and conducted a short ice breaking session. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma has explained about the importance of Honey bee in Agriculture, Nature and wellbeing of Humans. She also explained the opportunities in Honeybee rearing as an profitable enterprise for rural and interested youth. Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) conducted second day session and explained about 'Introduction to Honey Industry in India and world', 'Types of Honey bees’ and “Management practices of Model Apiculture Unit”. On day-3 Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) has taken sessions on “Motivation, Leadership and Communication skills” and Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma has conducted sessions on “Disease and Pest Management in Apiculture”. On this day trainees have visited an Apiculture unit at Kineerasani village, Palvoncha Mandal lead by Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture). Later post evaluation and valedictory sessions were conducted with trainees.
