A Training Programme on “Use of different ICT tools in Agriculture” was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal at KVK office on 09-03-2021. The programme was sponsored by ATMA, Department of Agriculture, Mahabubabad district.The programme was chaired by Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about “different ICT tools in Agriculture like, Mobile Apps, Portals, different YouTube channels in Agriculture and allied sectors, given emphasize on use of different mobile Apps in improving the productivity and to reduce the cost of cultivation.Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal addressed the gathering about importance of mobile apps and role of different mobile apps in solving the problems in the farm itself by the farmers themselves by getting expert advice from the gadgets. Later, there was a farmer – Scientist interaction, in which Smt. A. Ramulamma, SMS (Plant Protection) answered to the queries on “pest and disease management in present crops”. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about present scenario of Horticulture crops in the district and given remedial measures in Horticulture and vegetable crops in the present situation. Sri B. Kranthi Kumar, SMS (Crop Production) explained about importance of summer Pulses and role of soil testing in judicious use of the fertilizers in different crops.Forty five number of farmers from different Mandals of Mahabubabad district attended the training programme.
