Krishi Vigyan Kendra,Malyal organized“Pre Kharif awareness programme” at Kalwala village of Kesamudram Mandal on 27-06-2024. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about different ICT tools in Agriculture, Importance of direct seeding Paddy, concept of HDPS Cotton and seed availability in KVK. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about weed and fertilizer management in Turmeric, Chilli nursery management, integrated pest and disease managementin Chilli and Importance of green manure crops (Dhaincha, Sunhemp, Pilli Pesara & Greengram) preceding to Rice and Chilli crops, Smt. S. Meghana, AEO, Kalwala cluster explained about cropped area in the cluster and importance of crop booking by the farmers. Later conducted field visit toGreengram and Turmeric fields observed the crops condition and given suitable recommendation to the farmers. Smt.T. Aruna Jyothi, Panchayat Secretary, Kalwala village and 36 farmers participated in this programme.
