KVK, Malyal organized training programme on “Better management practices in Agricultural & Horticultural crops” to Extension Functionaries (AEO’s) under Tribal Sub Plan, 2020-21

  • A Training Programme on “Better management practices in Agricultural & Horticultural crops” to Extension Functionaries (AEO’s) under Tribal Sub Plan, 2020-21 was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal at KVK office on 10-03-2021. Sri. B. Chatru Naik, DAO, Mahabubabad participated as chief guest for this programme and instructed AEO’s to learn about technical tips in different crops for giving need based suggestions to the farmers at field level.
  • Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator addressed the gathering and reiterated that such trainings would refresh the knowledge of the extension functionaries and they should make use of this opportunity to update themselves with the latest technologies and recommendations in the major crops of the district.
  • Dr. U. Nagabhushanam, Sr. Scientist (Agronomy), RARS, Warangal participated as resource person and explained about different sowing methods in rice to overcome shortage of labours in Paddy and spoke about good management practices in Rice crop.
  • Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about “different ICT tools in Agriculture like, Mobile Apps, Portals, different YouTube channels in Agriculture and allied sectors, emphasized on use of different mobile Apps as ready reckoners for technical inputs.
  • Smt. A. Ramulamma, SMS (Plant Protection) explained about tips for Plant Protection in important crops of the district, in the present situation.
  •  Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about the good management practices in major Horticulture crops of the district for getting higher yields.
  • Sri B. Kranthi Kumar, SMS (Crop Production) explained about Best management practices of oilseeds and pulses and also spoke about importance of summer Pulses.
  • Twenty seven Agricultural Extension Officers (AEO’s) from Mahabubabad division of the district attended the training programme.
