Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized farmers scientists interface on Climate Resilient varieties, technologies and practices and PMs programme on 28-09-2021
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Farmers – Scientists interaction on “Climate Resilient varieties, technologies and practices” and webcast of PM’s live programme on the said theme at Rythu Vedika, Bodhugonda of Gudur Mandal on 28-09-2021. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator explained about importance of growing climate resilient varieties and adopting technologies like abiotic stress tolerant varieties, different diversified crops and importance of intercropping, soil health management interventions like ex-situ and in-situ moisture conservation practices. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extn.) explained about crop diversification with other crops (Greengram, Sesamum, Groundnut, Blackgram, Maize, etc) in place of Paddy during upcoming Yasangi. Sri B. Kranthi Kumar, SMS (Crop Production) explained about different water harvesting methods and efficient use, different methods of irrigation, farm machinery role in soil moisture and energy conservation. Later, Hon’ble Prime Minister’s programme was webcasted shown to the farmers. After the live webcast, the experts answered queries raised by the farmers. Sri Redya, AEO, Gudur, Sri Sudhakar Rao, Sarpanch, Sri N. Laxminarsaiah, RSS Member, Kollapur 104 No.of farmers participated in the programme.
