KVK, Malyal organized digital audio conference through virtual mode on Awareness on DAMU Project and Activities on 12-11-2021
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized digital audio conference on “Awareness on DAMU Project and Activities” through virtual mode in collaboration with Reliance Foundation on 12-11-2021. In this programme, Dr. S. Malathi, Programme coordinator, KVK, Malyal requested the farmers to utilize weather apps to plan day to day agriculture activities. Smt. D. Usha Sri, SMS (Agrometeorology) briefed about the “Megdooth, Mausam, Damini” apps, their utility and explained how to download and register the apps in their mobiles. She also explained few success stories of farmers who have used these weather forecast apps to inculcate interest among farmers to increase their usage. Later, Dr. S. Malathi, B. Kranthi Kumar, SMS (Crop production), and Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) and also acted as resource persons and answered queries raised on pest management in cotton, Chilli crops, crop diversification and practices in mango orchards for uniform flowering respectively Sri. G. Ramesh, Project Manager from Reliance Foundation coordinated the programme and 40 number of farmers from Warangal (Rural) district participated in the programme.
