KVK, Malyal – Organized Field Day on “Direct Seeding in Rice” on 31-03-2022

A Field Day on “Direct Seeding in Rice” under SC Sub Plan, 2021-22 was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal on 31.03.2022 at Vissampally Village, Chinnaguduru Mandal, Mahabubabad district in Direct seeding Rice field of Sri M. Kandaiah. The Host farmer spoke about his experiences towards cultivation of paddy in wet direct seeding method. Smt. A. Ramulamma, SMS (Plant Protection) explained about the Dry direct seeding and Wet direct seeding cultivation methods of Paddy and stressed about weed management and Pest Management. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar SMS (Extension), explained about the benefits of Direct seeding in Rice, utilization of ICT tools to knowing about new technologies and new methods of cultivation, emphasized on subscription of PJTSAU You tube channel and Agriculture related magazines like Vyavasayam, Padipantalu etc., and spoke about SCSP project concept. Sri Hussain, Village Sarpanch, Sri Mangapathi Rao, Mandal Rythu Samanvaya Samithi Coordinator, Sri. Ankush, AEO, Chinnaguduru cluster and 52 no.of farmers and farmwomen attended the programme. The programme was also followed by a visit to Direct seeded Rice field of the host farmer.
