KVK, Malyal conducted an Exposure visit to COE, Mulugu, Siddipet District under Tribal Sub Plan, 2022-23 on 20.12.2022

Exposure visit was conducted by KVK, Malyal to Centre of Excellence, Mulugu, Siddipet District on 20-12-2022 with 31 No. of farmer beneficiaries from 4 TSP adopted villages (Chakru thanda & Ootla of Gudur Mandal; Eeshwaragudem & Doravari vempalli of Kothaguda Mandal. In the morning session, Sri. Dr. R. Surendranath, Horticulture Officer from COE, Mulugu acted as resource person and explained different success stories in horticultural crops, different pruning techniques in fruit crops, raising of vegetable nurseries in plug trays under shadenet. In the afternoon session, different demo units were visited by farmers maintained at COE like Ultra High Density Mango, Guava, Pomegranate, Sweet Orange, Acid Lime, Dragon Fruit, Oil palm plantation intercropping with Mulberry, intercropping of Srigandham with Casuarina plantation, farm pond and raising of vegetable nurseries (Chilli and Tomato) under shadenet. KVK, Malyal Scientists Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension), Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) and Sri M. Chitti Babu (Agromet Observer) accompanied the farmers during the exposure visit.
